Summer Diffuser Recipes – Part 3

Summer diffuser series

Are you enjoying your summer?

Here in Florida it’s been very…well,…hot. Duh.

But I love it. I crave warmth. And right now, it’s starting to get that kind of hot where you feel like your skin may burst into flames at any moment.

I know it’s weird that I like that, but it’s true of many of us Floridians.

Sure, we’ll complain about the heat. We say “I can’t wait until fall so I don’t have to deal with this heat every day.”

But then October rolls around, and it starts dipping into the 60’s. Ok, maybe the 70’s.

And after a week of wearing a sweater (gasp), we start complaining about how cold it’s getting.

Trust me on this.

But enough about us crazy Floridians.

Are you ready for this week’s summer diffuser recipe?

This week, I blended grapefruit, lemon, and PanAway.

Yep, PanAway is in there too.

I know, not what you were thinking.

But it actually blended pretty well with the citrus scents.

At least I thought so.

And that’s all that matters.

Kidding.

So here’s the recipe:

summer3

4 drops Grapefruit

3 drops Lemon

1 drop PanAway

I’ve talked about lemon and PanAway before, but not so much about grapefruit.

Grapefruit can enhance the flavor of meals or water*, and can help maintain proper digestion.

So, let me know what you think about this week’s blend. How did the PanAway blend for you?

And if you missed the past posts in this series, here they are:

PanAway Essential oil

Young Living’s PanAway essential oil is one of my favorite oils. To be fair, I realize that I do say that about almost every Young Living essential oil I own. (I really do love them all!)

First, let me tell you a little bit about the oil. PanAway is a blended oil, which means that there are several essential oils that are combined to make up this oil. The oils that make up PanAway are wintergreen, clove, helichrysum, and peppermint. I’ll give you a brief description of each oil.

Wintergreen

Wintergreen essential oil is known as a soothing oil. It is often used in massage to gently soothe away tension.

Clove

Clove essential oil supports the body’s natural defenses. You can also find clove oil in Young Living’s Thieves essential oil.

Helichrysum

Ok, to me helichrysum (HEL – IH- CHRIS – UMM) sounds like something you say when your bare toe meets the upside of a Lego. But what it really is, is an essential oil that supports proper circulatory health and relieves occasional muscle soreness. (For, like, maybe after you step on the Lego?)

Peppermint

Peppermint essential oil has many uses, such as promoting healthy digestion or releasing occasional nervous tension. You can read about many more uses of peppermint essential oil in my earlier post here.

 Interested yet?

Young Living sure knew what they were doing when they blended all those oils together to create PanAway. It is the go-to oil for occasional muscle soreness and pain. And who doesn’t at some point, experience occasional muscle soreness? A drop or two on your calf muscles after a long workout at the gym and you’re good to go. My hubby uses PanAway often for maintaining healthy joint function.

And because PanAway can relieve occasional nervous tension, you can swipe a drop or two across your forehead and temples, and add a drop to the back of your neck. Or, you can diffuse PanAway into the air by way of a diffuser. Remember, Young Living essential oils are very effective through inhalation as well.

Now for the cool part. PanAway is part of the Premium Starter Kit!

So, if you’re new to Young Living’s essential oils, this is a great way to try PanAway and other commonly used oils for a deeply discounted price.
