Frankincense. If you’re like most people, when you hear the word frankincense, you think of Christmas.
Right? Because we know frankincense to be one of the gifts given to Jesus a year or two after his birth. There was special significance in each of the gifts given to Jesus.
First, let’s look at where frankincense comes from.
“Frankincense was the resin from a tree. It was obtained by cutting the bark of the tree and letting the resin harden. It was then ground into a powder. Though it tasted bitter, it was known for how freely it burned, leaving nothing behind.” (www.whispersofthespirit.com)
The gift represented Christ’s holiness and purity. It was a very expensive gift, one often given to kings or high priests. Frankincense is mentioned throughout the Bible, always as a reference to holiness and purity.

My Experience with Frankincense Essential Oil
I also use Frankincense essential oil to maintain proper joint function. Now, I am still fairly young (ahem), however, I do experience the minor aches and pains associated with daily life from time to time. Especially in my arms. When I was younger, I used to write – a LOT – and now, well now I just TYPE a lot. So occasionally I will use Frankincense to alleviate those minor aches.
