A couple of quick recipes

OK, so I hear there’s a nasty blizzard assaulting my northern friends this weekend.

And while I can’t imagine why you would want to live in a place where blizzards happen how cold it must be there, I can understand what this type of weather can do to our lips.

Young Living has come up with an amazing lip scrub recipe.

YLlip

Exfoliating Lip Scrub**

1 teaspoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon honey

1 teaspoon olive oil

1–2 drops Lavender essential oil or another aromatic essential oil of your choice*

*We strongly recommend NOT using any citrus essential oils or blends, which could be too harsh on exfoliated skin.
** Recipe is from www.youngliving.com

I tried this the other day, and I have to say – my lips felt much softer afterward.

The recipe is enough for a few applications, so you can reapply as needed.

I also blended Cypress oil and RC oil in my diffuser recently. I love the smell of both of these oils separately, and I was pleasantly surprised at how great they smelled together!

I used 3 drops of each, but next time I will use 4-5 drops of each because I loved the scent, and I am okay with it smelling a bit stronger.

In fact, I think I will go diffuse this again right now.

Stay warm northerners!! And check out some of my summer diffuser recipes while you’re cooped up in the house! Maybe the scents will temporarily make you forget about all the white stuff swirling around outside! Be safe!
