Lemongrass essential oil

Untitled design (6)

Young Living’s lemongrass essential oil is classified as a dietary supplement. It can be used to add flavor to foods or water.

When taken internally, it can support your general well-being, and it may support the digestive system.

Lemongrass oil can also be found in other Young Living products such as DiGize essential oil, Essentialzymes-4, and MultiGreens.

Just like Aroma Ease oil that we discussed last week, lemongrass oil is a flex oil for the Premium Starter Kit.

Aroma Ease essential oil

Untitled design (5)

Young Living’s Aroma Ease is a blended oil. It contains peppermint, spearmint, ginger, cardamom, and fennel essential oils.

Aroma Ease can be diffused to create a relaxing atmosphere. It can also be applied topically to provide calm and comfort. Young Living suggests application to the neck and chest for the greatest benefit.

I like to apply Aroma Ease right before I go to sleep. It helps me wind down and relax from the busy day.

And, just like Orange essential oil that we spoke about last week, Aroma Ease is a flex oil in the Premium Starter Kit.

Orange Essential Oil

Untitled design (7)

Young Living’s orange essential oil is a pretty straightforward oil.

It smells like oranges.

It tastes like oranges.

See what I mean?

You can use orange essential oil to enhance the flavor of food or water. You’ve heard of drinking lemon water. Well, add a drop or two of orange oil to your water. Yum.

Or, if you have a recipe that calls for a hint of citrus flavor, add a couple of drops of orange oil to it.

Orange oil happens to be a Premium Starter Kit flex oil. You may remember that a flex oil may become part of the kit in the event that a regular kit oil is not available.

Orange essential oil also made appearances in some diffuser recipes from this past year. See them here:

Brand New Products!

If you haven’t already heard, Young Living has introduced some brand new products recently.

Here’s a brief description of each one:

Northern Lights Black Spruce essential oil

5313

This new oil has a woodsy aroma. I bet this one will be included on some new fall diffuser recipes!

NLBP can also be applied onto the skin to improve the appearance of dry skin.

Light the Fire essential oil

5304

Speaking of fall diffuser recipes, this oil is sure to be a hit. It’s a blend of nutmeg, cassia, ocotea, Canadian fleabane, lemon, pepper, and hinoki oils.

Get this oil.

If only to find out what Canadian fleabane smells like.

Kidscents diffusers

5332                  5333

Ok, these are just adorable for the kiddos. There are 2 designs, a dinosaur and a dolphin.

On the dinosaur one, you can change the color settings, or turn the color off. The LED lights on the diffuser can also act as a night light.

The diffuser can run continuously or intermittently. And, of course, it has an auto shut off feature for when the unit is out of water.

The dino diffuser cover is also interchangeable with the dolphin diffuser cover (which must be purchased separately).

The dolphin diffuser has all of the same features as the dinosaur one. The one extra bonus feature of the dolphin diffuser is that kids can store jewelry, hair pins, etc. in the clam on the unit.

NingXia Zyng

I know that looks like a typo, but that’s really the name, I promise.

Ningxia Zyng is a carbonated energy drink that contains lime and black pepper oils, wolfberry puree, white tea extract, sparkling water, and vitamins.

It has only 35 calories per can, and is free of preservatives, artificial flavors, coloring, and sweeteners.

Zyng comes in a 12 pack of 8.4 cans (does contain caffeine)

They had me at chocolate.

These bars aid in weight management by helping you feel full. They contain oils, berries, and nuts and are packed with fiber. They are also gluten free!

And, if you’re wondering, yes they are dark chocolate.

Cool Azul Sports Gel

5436

This neat gel contains aloe vera in addition to peppermint, oregano, and Dorado Azul essential oils.

Cool Azul is used to hydrate and cool the skin, especially before or after physical activity, such as sports.

Essential Peels (while supplies last)

5071    5070

These cute little things are cotton swatches containing pre-diluted essential oils that can be used on the go or as an oil sampler.

They come in lavender or peppermint, and contain 10 swatches per pack.

Dead Sea Mud Soap and Bath Salts (while supplies last)

5498    5499

These are pretty self-explanatory. You can pamper yourself with a mixture of dead sea minerals and essential oils.

Then there are the new Thieves products. These are exciting because everyone loves Thieves!

And also because these new products make a great addition to the already great line of Young Living Thieves products.

First, there is the Thieves Fruit and Veggie Soak and Spray.

5344

Obviously, this is used to clean produce. And it comes with a 2 oz. spray bottle, so you can take it with you!

Then there is Thieves Laundry Soap.

5349

This contains Thieves (duh), Jade Lemon, and Bergamot essential oils. In addition to helping your laundry smell great, this laundry soap doesn’t contain chemicals!

Finally, there is Thieves Dish Soap.

5350

Again, pretty self-explanatory. This contains the same oils as the laundry soap, and is also free of synthetics!

So, as you can see, Young Living has added a BUNCH of great new products. You can view more info on any of these products or place an order here.

Thanks for reading the Keeping it Real Oily blog.

I have some great posts lined up for the rest of the year, including spotlighting some Premium Starter Kit flex oils, and…. you knew it was coming – new fall diffuser recipes!!

Purification Essential Oil

1

Young Living’s Purification essential oil is made up of six different oils: citronella, rosemary, lemongrass, tea tree, lavandin, and myrtle.

Purification can be used to freshen the air and eliminate odors.

That’s why this is one of my favorite oils to diffuse. It just smells sooo good. It has a clean and pleasant scent.

I like to diffuse Purification when we have guests over to the house. It adds a nice aroma to the air without overpowering the room.

You can also add a few drops of Purification to cotton balls and place them in the a/c vents of your house or car.

Purification can also be used in relaxation applications.

You can add a few drops to a massage oil (Young Living has a great one called V-6), and rub it on your feet for a soothing effect.

Or, you can add some drops to Epsom salts for a relaxing bath. (4 drops oil to 1 cup Epsom salt)

Finally, Purification can be applied topically to “enjoy the outdoors annoyance-free” (exact phrase in quotes taken from Young Living’s product claims). This is where the citronella part of the oil can benefit the most.

And yes, because I know you’re probably wondering – Purification is part of the Premium Starter Kit!
