Happy New Year!

Happy-New-Year-2015-Beach-Images

It’s the last day of the year.

Wow, did this year go FAST or what?!?

I’m looking forward to 2015. One of my goals for 2015 is to find more time to relax.

Life can be so stressful sometimes. You know what I’m talking about. And we are all so busy with our schedules and commitments. And that’s ok.

But you know what I’ve found? It’s okay to say no sometimes. You don’t have to go to every party or event. You don’t have to volunteer for every function. You don’t have to get every chore done on the weekends. (I skipped doing a load of laundry last week, and to my utter shock and disbelief, the world kept turning.)

Don’t get me wrong. I love doing all of those things above (ok, well, maybe not the laundry so much). But it’s okay to not feel the pressure of having to say yes all the time. Make sense?

So, what about you? Do you have any goals or resolutions for 2015 that you’d like to share? Feel free to post them in the comments. I would love to hear them.

And, I know the past few posts have been, well, “oil-less”, but I promise I will get back to posting about essential oils real soon.

Young Living had their best year YET in 2014, and I think 2015 will beat it! They have a lot of exciting stuff planned for the year, and I can’t wait!

I wish each and every one of you a safe, happy, and blessed New Year!

(p.s. – if you’re wondering about the pic above, that’s just how we do it in Florida, people)  😉

Merry Christmas!

O-Holy-Night

Can you believe it’s Christmas Eve already?!?!?

Ok, the word of the day is “breathe”.

It’s crazy time –  last minute errands and shopping, wrapping, preparing food, welcoming guests, etc.

Stop for a minute.

Breathe.

Remember what’s important.

You’re gonna make it.

Merry Christmas!

Celebrate Jesus

Christmas-Star

You’ve heard it said: Jesus is the reason for the season.
(And He is).

I get it. The point is to have us all remember that Jesus should be our focus for the Christmas season, not presents and trees and candy canes.

But, really He is the reason for EVERY season. He should be the focus of every season.
Which doesn’t mean that we can’t enjoy all the other things. I think we should enjoy them.
But we should remember where our hearts need to be. Not just at Christmas time, but ALWAYS.
Here’s why.

We’re sinners. Every last one of us. Babies are born with a sin nature. No one is immune to sin.

And while most people think they are “good” people, none of us are. Not really. Not when we compare ourselves to the goodness and holiness of God.

Isaiah 64:6 says “All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.

And here’s the kicker:

There is nothing we can do about it.

NOTHING.

We cannot make ourselves good enough for God, no matter what we do or how hard we try. It is impossible.

BUT….

Jesus, Who walked this earth as both God and man – He did it for us. He made a way for us to be “good enough” for God. He made a way for us to live eternally with Him, without the fear of ending up in hell – which is what we deserve.
He died for us. He took our sins upon Himself in the ultimate selfless sacrifice.
We just have to believe. That’s it. There’s nothing else we can do anyway.

We just have to believe in Him, and His sacrifice. Believe that He was resurrected 3 days after His death. Believe that we receive His Holy Spirit upon believing. So that when God looks upon us, He doesn’t see the awful stain of our sin anymore. He sees His Son.

How beautiful is that?

Kind of makes all the other distractions in our lives pale in comparison, don’t you think?

And let’s face it. We’re not perfect people. We’re not going to remember to put our focus on Jesus all the time.
But, as believers, we are better off for the times when we do remember.

Because as Philippians 4:7 says “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

So, I hope that each and every one of you that reads this has a wonderful Christmas. I hope that you enjoy the decorating, the presents, and the family time.

But I really hope that you know Jesus. Or that you come to know Him this Christmas.

And I hope that we all remember that He needs to be our focus this season, and ALL seasons.

Because it’s not about the tree.

Not about the presents.

Not about essential oils.

Not about you. Not about me.

It’s all about Him.

Order Now for Christmas!

I hope you are all enjoying the craziness of the holidays. Here in Florida we’re enjoying tolerating the craziness of the snowbirds.

Is it really necessary to drive a perfectly capable vehicle at 22mph in a 45mph zone? During rush hour?

Anyhoo, there are certainly many things to enjoy and be thankful for this time of year.
One thing I am VERY thankful for is online shopping (see snowbird comment above).
Is there anything better than sitting at home, ordering Christmas presents, and then having them come right to your door a few days later? I just wish I could get them shipped pre-wrapped. Wrapping presents is not my forte. As anyone in my family will attest.
The presents I wrap usually have a whole extra hunk of paper at the ends, typically folded over 17 times.
Or they have a big “paper patch” taped on in the middle, which is where I had to fill in the paper shortage.
I have wonderful hand-eye estimating skills.
But – back to online shopping.

If you are looking for a really cool, unique gift for someone…..how about Young Living essential oils?
Pure and healthy oils that have, oh, I don’t know, about a BILLION practical uses?
Maybe a Premium Starter Kit?
They will get a box jam-packed with 11 oils, a diffuser, and a bunch of samples and other materials.

Go to the Order Oils page  to place an order for a Premium Starter Kit, or for any other items you would like.

And, as always, if you have any questions, just ask!

Happy shopping!
