Christmas Diffuser Blends

  christmas 2

Since I know you’ve all been loving the fall diffuser blends that I posted about, I thought I would share some Christmas blends that I came across.

I did not invent these blends myself, however, I did name them myself to differentiate them.

Christmas Tree Blend

3 drops Idaho Blue Spruce essential oil
4 drops Pine essential oil
4 drops Cedarwood essential oil

Snowy Forest Blend

2 drops Idaho Balsam Fir essential oil
2 drops Orange essential oil
2 drops Cinnamon Bark essential oil

Christmas Treat Blend

3 drops Wintergreen essential oil
1 drop Cinnamon bark essential oil

Candy Cane Blend

5 drops Peppermint essential oil
2 drops Ylang Ylang essential oil

Mmmmmmm. I can just smell them already.

And remember, you can experiment by blending your own oils to create a specific holiday scent.

Comment with a holiday blend that you came up with, and I will add it to this post!

Check Out the New Premium Starter Kit Oils

**Update – the Premium Starter Kit has been updated as of 6/19/15. These 2 oils are no longer part of the kit, but have become flex oils. Please see the Premium Starter Kit page for more info.

You may remember that I posted about the two new essential oils that were being added to the Premium Starter Kit in place of Valor and Peace and Calming (as of November 17th).

Well, here they are.

Melaleuca

Melaleuca Alternifolia.
Say that 3 times fast. Now you know why it’s more commonly referred to as tea tree oil.
Let’s just refer to it as MA for our purposes here.
MA is a species of tree that is native to Australia. The leaves of the tree are distilled to acquire the essential oils.
MA oil is very commonly used for skin care, as it has superb cleansing qualities.
It can also be used to support the body’s natural defenses. This is a good oil to use around the colder, winter months where external factors can attack our immune systems.
An article on www.pubmed.gov shows a study of MA use by humans.

Read about the study here.

Citrus Fresh

Citrus Fresh is a blended oil. It is made up of these six essential oils: Orange, Grapefruit, Mandarin, Tangerine, Lemon, and Spearmint.
Citrus Fresh can be used to stimulate your mind, giving you focus and clarity. It can also boost your creativity.
I found another great study on PubMed regarding citrus essential oils.

Read about the full study here.

That’s pretty awesome!
And did I mention that Citrus Fresh smells GREAT?
