Summer Diffuser Recipes (2016)

I’ve been trying out some diffuser recipes (shocking I know), and I thought I’d share them with you.

As is the case with just about all of my diffuser blends, these are very simple. I typically use only 2-4 oils, and just a couple of drops of each one.

Of course, you can get all fancy and add your own oils or add a bunch more drops. That’s totally up to you.

Summer is definitely one of my favorite times to experiment with diffuser recipes. And that’s not just because I live in Florida, where summer lasts 11.86 months.

It’s also because citrus oils are very common in summer blends. I love the citrus oils, and I think they make a great addition to any scent.

Copaiba Vitality

Copaiba

Great news.

Young Living’s popular Copaiba oil is now also offered in the Vitality line.

Copaiba Vitality can help promote wellness through internal consumption in a veggie capsule. Just 1-2 drops will be enough!

Or you can add Copaiba Vitality directly to your water or tea. Young Living suggests adding it to herbal teas such as chamomile or rooibos.

Copaiba Vitality is now part of the Premium Starter Kit, along with four other Vitality oils and six original oils.

DiGize Vitality

DiGize Vitality

You probably remember that DiGize is one of my favorite oils.

And now, Young Living has introduced DiGize Vitality. This oil helps promote wellness and proper digestion.

A drop or two can be added to water or tea (you may want to sweeten it with some natural honey too!). Or it can be taken internally in a gel capsule.

Not only is this oil a complement to the Vitality line, but you can now find DiGize Vitality in the Premium Starter Kit. Trust me when I tell you that this oil is a must-have.

Lemon Vitality

Lemon (1)

Hope you are enjoying the Vitality posts.

Today’s post is about Lemon Vitality. As with the other Vitality oils, Lemon Vitality can be taken internally in a capsule or can be added to your favorite drink. You will only need a drop or two – this oil is packed with flavor.

Lemon is a great flavor that is commonly added to recipes, and with Young Living’s commitment to purity (see YL’s Seed to Seal guarantee on the FAQ page), Lemon Vitality will provide a fabulous taste to any recipe in which it is used.

You can add Lemon Vitality to breakfast foods such as plain yogurt or pancakes (make sure to check out Young Living’s pancake and waffle mix in the catalog).

And how about dinner? Lemon Vitality can enhance any of these foods: chicken, fish, salad, dressings, vegetables, rice, pasta, etc.

And don’t forget the desserts. Lemon bars, lemon pie, lemon popsicles. There are so many options!

One of my favorite uses for Lemon Vitality is in my water or tea. The flavor is wonderful.

And yes, if you were wondering, Lemon Vitality is indeed part of the Premium Starter Kit :)

Thieves Vitality can be used to support overall wellness and a healthy immune system. Use a drop or two in a veggie capsule as part of your morning regimen, or simply add a drop to your favorite beverage for an intense flavor.

Thieves Vitality can be added to food too. Some of the ingredients in Thieves Vitality, such as Cinnamon Bark Vitality and Clove Vitality, make it a great addition to breakfast foods. You can add it to cereal, oatmeal, granola….you can even try it on your pancakes!

And Thieves Vitality is now part of the Premium Starter Kit. along with 4 other Vitality oils and 6 original oils.

Peppermint Vitality

Peppermint (1)

Young Living’s Peppermint Vitality oil can be used to maintain proper digestion and for gastrointestinal comfort.

It can be taken internally in a gel capsule, or, for those who love its powerful taste, it can be added directly to food or drink.

If you choose to take Peppermint Vitality internally, you only need 1-2 drops per capsule. Many people use the oil this way before their workouts – to enhance their exercise performance.

You can also add a drop to your morning tea. It will certainly perk up your day!

Peppermint Vitality can be used in baking as well. There are so many recipes and desserts that can benefit from a drop or two of this oil.

And remember, Peppermint Vitality is now included in the Premium Starter Kit!

Diffusers (and a diffuser recipe!)

Do you love diffusing your Young Living essential oils as much as I do?

I mean, seriously, there’s nothing better than a sweetly scented room.

That’s probably why I like to post so many diffuser recipes.

And it’s also probably why I am always searching for cool new diffusers, even though I only have 4 right now.

Ok, so maybe 4 diffusers might seem like a little much to some, but serious oilers know you can never have too many diffusers 😉

And if you consider that I have about 27 diffusers on my Amazon wish list, four suddenly doesn’t seem so bad.

At least that’s what I tell myself.

Now first, I will say that my favorite diffusers are Young Living’s own diffusers. Like the ones that you get as part of the Premium Starter Kit.

I’m not just saying that because I’m a YL distributor either. The Young Living diffusers are really the most efficient and best working that I have used.

But since I use diffusers so much, I love to see what else is out there that I can add to my collection. (although I will admit that if my husband sees yet another diffuser in the house, he may not, um, share my enthusiasm.)

Here are a few diffusers that I’ve been checking out (click their names (in blue) to see more info):

URPower

urpowernew

This diffuser changes to 7 different colors and has an auto shut off feature. This is the 2nd version of this diffuser – it was updated to produce more mist.

Levoit

levoitdiffuser

This diffuser also changes to 7 colors, and you can control the mist output. And here’s a bonus – you can plug this into a wall or a USB port!

Art Naturals

artnaturalsdiffuser

Is this cool looking or what!?!?

This beauty also changes to 7 colors, and is super quiet.

PureSpa

purespa

This one changes to 5 colors, and has a super sleek design. It can run for up to 7 hours.

Of course, there are many more diffusers out there, and even a few more that I have talked about before – find them here and here.

So now that I’ve got you super pumped about all these diffusers, I’ll share a quick diffuser recipe that I tried a couple of days ago.

2 drops Thieves

3 drops Peppermint

2 drops Peace and Calming

newcombo

I wanted a strong, invigorating scent so I added Thieves and Peppermint to the diffuser. Then, at the last second, I decided to throw Peace and Calming in there too. Wow, was it a great combo! I really enjoyed this one.

(p.s. – for you very observant readers, yes, I did photograph unopened bottles for a “cleaner” look).

Well, I’m off to try out another diffuser combo.

I’ll let you know how it goes!
